News Anchor is the person who presents the gathered news to the public. News Anchors are also called as Newscasters. The TV News Anchors observes the news lines from the teleprompter and delivers it in well manner. News Anchor job is to presents the views of current issues with the actions of corporate executives, public officials and others who are in power. News Anchors comments and integrates the live transmissions from the on-spot reporters. In large stations, News Anchors work in a particular type of news such as, general news, sports, weather, economic trends, crime scenes and interviews with the public icons.
Responsibilities
As a News Anchor, there are lots of responsibilities since News Anchors are the face of the broadcasting stations, some of the responsibilities are:
- Gathers the news and creates stories and presents at appropriate news time

A Bachelor degree in Journalism and related fields like mass communication

- Excellent presentation and on-camera skills
- Knowledge of operating the communication equipments

Minimum of 2 years on-air experience, Experience gained at low level or small town broadcasting stations, through internships with news organizations.
