KATV has an immediate opening for a creative Digital Content Manager. We are looking for someone who can call the right plays on every platform, who understands and can lead the KATV newsroom through both our air and digital platforms and is versed on how to measure our success on our multiple digital platforms.

Requirements:

KATV has an immediate opening for a creative Digital Content Manager. We are looking for someone who can call the right plays on every platform, who understands and can lead the KATV newsroom through both our air and digital platforms and is versed on how to measure our success on our multiple digital platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating and supervising our digital content and digital team members.

Responsibilities Will Include:

Collaborating and communicating with the News Director to uphold and grow the brand.

Managing a digital staff and a team of seasoned TV journalists.

Training and evaluating the digital team members.

Editing and posting relevant materials and managing reporters’ and producers’ digital content.

Keeping Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social platforms updated.

Working with other departments and our sister stations on daily content and special projects.

What skills do you need to be successful in our role?

Proven track record of creating compelling and engaging stories across multiple platforms.

Strong understanding of how to drive digital traffic.

Demonstrated ability to work under deadline pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptional digital leadership skills, strong critical thinking and a commitment to win by executing our strategy.

Extraordinary people skills with an emphasis on coaching and motivating.

Must be able to lead by working collaboratively with the team and have the skills to resolve any conflicts/issues that arise.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A strong commitment to journalistic standards and ethics.

Must be willing to work evenings and/or holidays and special events.

A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, communications or related field
