Description

Humana seeks an experienced Digital Editor to join our Corporate Communications Content Team. We're looking for a creative self-starter who can manage and develop content strategies and publishing plans from concept to completion, counsel senior leaders and work across multiple stakeholders (internal and external). You'll be part of a larger Storytelling and Content team within Corporate Communications and work collaboratively and in coordination with key stakeholders in brand strategy and Humana's internal creative team (the Hive). You'll work for a leading, innovative and growing organization in health care.

Responsibilities

The Lead Digital Editor oversees the strategy, creation and publishing of content across Humana Inc's owned (Humana News) and social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube) targeted to audiences such as consumers/members, influential thought leaders, health care providers, and employees.

Key Role Functions

Enhance Humana's reputation, brand and visibility via owned and social through well-executed strategic content and storytelling

Create, produce, and manage high-quality content across owned, social and earned communications Assess quality, message, consistency, and objective alignment on topical/campaign content

Collaborate with lines of business and functions in supporting broader campaign initiatives and enterprise storytelling. Work with multidisciplinary teams including cross functional business leaders and internal creative agency (the Hive) to improve content strategy and development

Ongoing evaluation of content performance and support of business priorities

Support key areas of the business such as DEI, Health Equity and Executive Communications

Unify compelling words, memorable images and the latest technology to inform, engage and energize key external and internal audiences in support of Humana's strategic objectives

Coordinate responses or campaign needs across subject matter experts where applicable

Escalate possible issues and/or updates; assist in managing or mitigating issues

This is a high-level individual contributor role, without direct reports, but agency support is available.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field OR equivalent work experience in related field

7 years of experience in digital, media, publishing, communications agency

Possesses journalistic sensibility with earned media expertise and experience with branded/visual content development

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Abundant creativity; strong desire to learn

Proven ability to interact with all levels of leadership

Ability to perform & exceed expectations in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment

Strong digital, mobile and social media expertise as well as understanding of analytics and SEO

Successful track record planning and executing content initiatives for similar businesses

Additional Requirements

Covid-19 Vaccine/Testing Requirement

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.

Work at Home/Remote Requirements

Must ensure designated work area is free from distractions during work hours and virtual meetings

Must provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a workspace (Satellite and Hotspots are prohibited). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) for optimal performance of is required
