\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePOSITION SUMMARY\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr /\u003eThe Proposal Manager is responsible for developing and writing proposals for large (\u0026gt;$1 million), complex bids. This position plays a key role in a multidisciplinary proposal development team to create high quality, compliant, and compelling County, State, and other proposals in response to formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs).\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Evaluates RFPs and, in consultation with Director of Business Development, creates a Proposal Management Plan (PMP)\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Analyzes the RFP/bid requirements against the proposal outline to ensure both compliance with and responsiveness to the customer\u0026rsquo;s issues and needs\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Working with Proposal Coordinator, develops internal deadlines, coordinates proposal progress meetings, and collects needed input from subject matter experts and other stakeholders\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Develops and continuously refreshes proposal content for multiple product lines and customer types\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Coordinates with finance and/or contracts staff for cost and contractual requirements\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Solicits and integrates feedback on proposal drafts from subject matter experts\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Contributes as member of new business thought leadership to track industry trends, anticipate future RFPs, and proactively plan for new content\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Provides research and analytical support to Telecare\u0026rsquo;s Strategic Marketing Planning process as needed\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Manages multiple projects with a sensitivity to tight deadlines and to working in a collaborative group\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Manages proposal management technology and oversees contracts with outside vendors related to proposals\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; As needed, represents Telecare at pre-bid conferences (limited overnight travel required, approximately 5% of time)\u003cbr /\u003e\u0026bull; Currently this position is envisioned as a full-time, exempt position working out of Telecare\u0026rsquo;s Alameda, California corporate office.
