Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Content Marketing, you will work with third parties and internal subject matter experts to craft and write distinctive stories that further elevate Splunk\u2019s reputation as a strategic partner to CISOs, CIOs and CTOs, ensuring these stories help tell a connected story and enhance the full customer journey. In this highly cross-functional, collaborative role, you will also work with PMM, PR, Brand, Campaigns and Messaging to 10x the impact of marquee content, building programs that maximize the value of each piece in creative ways.ResponsibilitiesHelp drive Splunk\u2019s thought leadership strategy, connecting it across our go-to-market efforts and the customer journeyServe as a lead writer on our marquee content, creating world-class reports that generate media and customer attentionWork with third-party agencies to scope, design and analyze qualitative and quantitative surveysCoordinate with internal subject matter experts, security and observability content strategists, and executives to shape topic ideas and content that drives resultsWrite customer stories and related content that help bring Splunk\u2019s story to lifeContinually test and improve content strategy for reaching and engaging key target audiencesBe a fountain of ideas for fresh, compelling content and high-impact activationRequirements8 years of experience in journalism, content marketing, communications or similar writing-forward roles, with experience in the technology space (B2B preferred)Good executive presence, with the ability to build off of diverging perspectives\u00A0Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneouslyExperience working with third-party research agencies to scope and design high-impact research, and strong analytical skills to find stories in the dataAn understanding of the security or observability markets is highly preferredExperience working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with proven ability to meet deadlines and multitask on a variety of projectsDemonstrated strength in storytelling across a variety of brand, corporate and thought leadership topicsDeep knowledge and curiosity of business, security and technology trendsPassion for learning, growth and collaborationNote: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles.
