Blog Editor Needed
My day job is in IT but I am starting a photography business and need someone who is good with editing blogs. I will provide an initial draft of the post. You will then review the post, make necessary proofreading and edits based on the following criteria.
Proofreading - Examining phrases for grammatical, spelling, or punctuation errors.
Line Edit - This will involve focusing on the technical and grammatical aspect of writing. Helping with word choice, rhythm, syntax and the overall strength of each sentence. With the goal of keeping sentences powerful, concise, but engaging.
Developmental Edit - Examines flow of the post, pacing, structure and dialogue. Examine the text for any inconsistencies, and continuity errors. The goal is to ensure the text communicates the intended theme and idea.
Posts will involve Travel, Product Photography, and other general topics of interest. Posts will vary in length from 1-5 pages. My goal is to produce 1-2 posts per week. I would estimate the blog editor to spend anywhere between 15 minutes to 1 hour on each post. Please provide your rates, estimated turnaround time, and copies of any blogs or articles you have edited or written (I expect 4-5 sample of your work).
