POSITION SUMMARY:  The Coordinator, Corporate Communications is responsible for supporting the Corporate Communications team whose primary responsibility is to advance and protect Calvin Klein's reputation as an iconic fashion brand. The role is responsible for implementing the day-to-day activities of communications-related tasks and projects across brand and corporate initiatives and requires a strong ability to multi-task and sound judgement. The coordinator reports to the Manager, Corporate Communications and will support executive, brand, and crisis communications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB: 

  • Support Manager, Director and SVP with presentations, official brand documents and upkeep of brand materials (boilerplates, brand guidelines, executive bios, media lists, etc.).

  • Support the development of campaign press assets and maintain documents surrounding press launches in partnership with Global Integrated PR.

  • Identify and track relevant conference and speaking opportunities for CK executives; facilitate logistics for virtual and in-person programming.

  • Assist in maintaining a cross-functional calendar of key moments including events and campaigns for the department.

  • Assist in the development of thoughtful, well-formulated recaps for brand initiatives.

  • Perform organizational duties including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and sending meeting recaps. Support filming logistics for corporate communications needs.

  • Support the external communications strategy with competitive/market research.

  • Conduct research on relevant industry awards and effectively fact-find to support the creation of submission materials.

  • Monitor the Calvin Klein Communications mailbox and manage reactive inquiries.

  • Daily review of media monitoring reports highlighting brand and executive mentions in trade and business press for senior management.

  • Manage both internal and external requests for images, info, etc. for PVH Communications. Coordinate with CK regional offices as needed.

  • Oversee department invoicing and assist in managing and tracking the budget for the Corporate Communications team.

  • Cultivate relationships across the brand’s marketing department to ensure strong collaboration with our team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

1+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment. Communications, PR and marketing experience strongly preferred. Project management and administrative duties also a plus.

    

Education:  

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, English or related field.

  • Highly fluent in and comfortable with MS Office (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, sense of creativity and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Willingness to learn, to take direction, to be flexible and resourceful, and work as part of a team.

  • Grace and discretion dealing with executives, media, and outside contacts.

  • General knowledge of fashion, art, design, pop culture, lifestyle and media landscapes.

  • Strong interest in and cultivation of industry knowledge.

  • Knowledge of media monitoring and database platforms a plus.
