Cultivate relationships with Dinsmore attorneys and leaders to learn their expertise and strategize ways to publicize their work
Establish attorneys as expert sources for journalists
Write for and post on firm social media accounts
Collaborate with manager on social media strategy
Execute paid social media ad campaigns
Help develop key brand messages and strategize ways to incorporate brand messaging into all external-facing copy
Edit, publish and promote thought leadership created by attorneys
Build emails using Concep software to communicate thought leadership to clients and contacts
Monitor trending topics in key practice areas to coach attorneys on recommended thought leadership topics
Track editorial calendars of business, legal and industry publications to develop thought leadership that aligns with those topics
Identify writing opportunities for attorneys and earn placement in those publications
Use media monitoring software to track media and social mentions, identify key journalists, publications and trending topics
Assist manager to measure success of external media placements and report findings
Track earned media of competitor firms and report data to manager
Assist with reporting, writing, editing and build of the monthly internal firm-wide newsletter
Create initial drafts of one-off internal emails communicating important news within the firm
Requirements
Three to five years of communications or related marketing experience
Undergraduate degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or equivalent work experience

Strong news judgment and an ability to make well-reasoned independent decisions
Experience with integrated communications, including use of web, social media, SEO and visual communications

Good listening, written and verbal communications skills
A track record of fully implementing projects to completion
